Manufacture and Production
Angloco's highly skilled, flexible and experienced workforce are dedicated and committed to the highest standards of quality. Customers' feedback and references bear testimony to the highest standards of finish and attention to detail.
Working to the designs and instructions from the Engineering Department, each vehicle is built within Angloco's own extensive Manufacturing workshops.
Materials and Construction
Most vehicles feature heavy duty aluminium alloy frameworks and panelling for the bodywork superstructure. Where specified, steel or stainless steel are used. Particular attention is given to protection against corrosion, with, for example, dissimilar metals joined via interface material to reduce the risk of electrolytic corrosion.
Water and foam tanks are manufactured to Angloco's designs, and are available in a variety of materials according to requirements. These include: conventional steel (hot-dip galvanised or epoxy coated), stainless steel, GRP (glass-fibre reinforced plastic), and rotationally moulded or welded polypropylene.
The heart of a fire appliance is its fire fighting system and engineering, and it is in this area that Angloco is widely recognised for its expertise. Angloco manufactures and installs safe, effective and efficient systems, which are easy to operate and maintain.
Inspection and Testing
Angloco's Quality Manager ensures that each completed vehicle undergoes an extensive checking and testing regime, to ensure that it fulfils operational requirements and meets the specification. Test results and certificates for the vehicle and its installed equipment are rigorously maintained. All procedures are controlled by the Quality Management System Standards of BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
